Cash Back Mortgages

Instead of a discount or a low rate fixed rate, some mortgage lenders will offer you a cashback. Cashbacks can be used to finance purchases such as furniture or fund a deposit, but you will be tied to the lender usually for 5 years.

You will be exposed to paying normal mortgage rates for this period which is in mortgage terms a long time in relation to changes in personal circumstances and indeed interest rates.
